:iconblankspace-plz: What is wrong with those people?? What the HELL do they think they're doing?

Why aren't they screaming all over the place?!

IT'S SAKURAI ATSUSHI DAMMIT.

. . .

*takes deep breath*

I am watching this on freakin' youtube and still find it impossible to sit in one place while doing so! I would actually screams my lungs out right now if it weren't for my dad sleeping right now...

Am I the only one?

Japanese crowd generally does not seem to be reacting very strongly in the gigs, judging from what I have seen thus far. I do not know exactly why though, maybe it just is a culture thing or something like that.

Nonetheless, great performance! Thank you for the link, I really liked it! :)

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. I can't imagine how amazing it would be to be able to watch a show like that live, I would probably go insane along with Sakurai, he's one hell of a stage presence, and his music/voice are... Pure love.

Agreed, it sure would be wonderful to see that kind of show live. :) I can only imagine how I would be reacting there though, as at times even only watching a video can make me cry (or to make me do some other kind of emotional outburst, depending of the music and all that)... ^^; Shame that most of my favourite bands are disbanded so I will never have a chance to see them perform live. :(

Ah...you managed to make me very interested towards this performer, you know? :D (Of course I had heard of Buck-Tick previously but I guess I never came around of actually listening to their music…but that will be fixed now, then. :D)
:iconkyokofinland:
:D No problem, I am always interested to hear good new music, so thank you very much for the 'treat'! And who knows, maybe someday I will share some of my favourite live performances too... :aww:
:icongurotesque:
I'm looking forward to that :aww:

Who knows, maybe a new BUCK TICK fan will be born! :giggle:

Yeah, I really regret the fact that I have never been able to see a Malice Mizer live... And other than that, it's almost impossible for me to see any of my favorite bands live in a concert, mainly because I live in Romania and japanese music isn't very popular here... But oh well, I really hope I'll be able to make it to a BUCK TICK/Sakurai Atsushi concert!

Who knows, who knows. :aww: I have not yet been able to listen very much of Buck-Tick’s music but I think the little I have been listening has been quite interesting. (I tend to "warm up" to new bands/artists very slowly, so please excuse me for describing my feelings for the band in kind of a roundabout way for now. ^^;) Thus far I have liked the song "Dress" a lot (I am listening to it even now). :aww: The vocalist has his own kind of voice, very nice. The vibrato in his voice is quite strong, but I like it. :aww: I will definitely be listening more to this.

(Could I guess we might have pretty similar taste for the vocalists? I just began to wonder whether you would like, for example, Shinnosuke "Peter" Ikehata’s voice? :meow: Maybe you could give it a try, just for fun? :pointr: [link] , [link] (Shameless artist promotion I know, but I personally find Peter to be just too good singer to be passed by so I am sharing his loveliness for others to enjoy as well.))

Oh, tell me about it. And besides Malice Mizer, there is also (for me personally) Shazna and Schwarz Stein which would have been pretty awesome to see perform live. (And then there are also those bands which are still together but their performances just are not what they used to be (Dir en grey comes first to mind... :unimpressed:), so it is just as good as they would just be disbanded already. Or even better if they would; in my mind, if a band or an artist loses the true passion to what they are doing, it is the beginning of the end.)
Oh well. I guess I just was born too late and to the wrong place too.

Here in Finland Japanese music is known to some degree, but not nearly as much as manga and anime for example. It is certainly not very well received though; very many people are shunned by men in heavy make-up and colourful feminine clothes playing happy-go-lucky music among with high-pitched vibrato voiced singer; the stereotypical visual kei group which seems to be what people here directly think if you mention you like Japanese music. :| I somewhat think the flamboyant looks of some of the most well-known Japanese bands around here (visual kei groups for the most part) may be the biggest reason of many people, particularly men, not being very interested in Japanese music. They do not want to even give the bands a try because they look "gay" or something along those lines, no matter what kind of music the band makes. Which is pretty damn stupid and prejudiced. :|

But anyway, yes, I also hope I would be able to make it to at least one concert by some still active favourite band/artist of mine…maybe Kaya? :please:
:icongurotesque:
Thank you for sharing  I just finished listening to the songs you gave me and his voice is absolutely amazing  Hmmm, it vaguely reminds me of Kaya's, but it's more... Comforting. And very beautiful. Very pleasent to listen. :aww: I'll definitely look more of his songs up

Really? Well, when I listen for the first time a band, if either their music or either the vocalist's voice really stands out, I'm immediately hooked to their music. But that something that happens very rare. ^^; Two years ago, a friend of mine gave me a link to one of Sakurai's solo lives (such as the one I posted), mainly because she wanted to point out how good-looking he was at his age, (well, there's no denying it either...) but I really liked the show too, so I did a little research about him, BUCK TICK, listened to a few songs and... Fell in love  The first BUCK TICK song I ever listened was 'ROMANCE'

Exactly, it's not enough that we have very few visual kei fans here, but most of them are An Cafe fans/or similar bands like that. Which is a shame because they stick to a certain thing only and do not wish to discover other visual kei bands, which are probably better than what they currently listen to.

Anyway, honestly? I had the same reaction a few years ago when I saw a Moi Dix Mois picture in a magazine. Because they were so different. Especially Mana, I was thinking 'Well, okay, the other ones kinda look like dudes, but THIS ONE?' XD And in a few days, after listening to their songs, I just fell in love with them. :giggle: So yeah, I'm sorry that people have prejudices, because sometimes they really don't know what they're missing. =)

A Kaya concert would be amazing! 8'D I love his music
